Our special Fifth Anniversary A Rare Affair will again feature a wine experience with rare varietals, vineyards and vintages with complimentary, seasonally-appropriate food pairings. All event guests will be able to enjoy delicious food stations and hors d’oeuvres, an hour of wine tasting, specialty cocktail and mocktail options, a live and silent auction, and live band! New this year is a full casino with games, prizes and photo booth! Guests can try their luck at roulette, craps and blackjack and snap some photos to remember the fun-filled evening in the photo booth.

Grace’s Story:
Grace Bensch, the daughter of Kaitlin and Jonathan Bensch, started having some developmental concerns around her first birthday. She began missing milestones and regressing in her physical abilities. After months of various tests and doctor appointments, they were finally given an answer to what was happening to Grace. She was diagnosed with an extremely rare genetic disorder called Infantile Neuroaxonal Dystrophy (INAD) on October 26, 2023. This neurodegenerative disease only affects about 150 children in the world, and it gives her a life expectancy of 5-10 years. Kaitlin and Jonathan have been blessed to be in Charlotte with so many helpful non-profit organizations, and in honor of Grace, they want to give back to those who have done so much for their family.

On Saturday, October 23, 2021, this group of friends got together in Charlotte, NC for an afternoon of pickleball inspired by and in memory of William Grenier and Ward Winslett.

On May 15, over 100 supporters gathered at Charlotte Country Club to participate in the First Annual WARD’S Foundation Pickleball Tournament.
